Teddy, is that King book about the Vietnam veteran and his life after he comes home from the war and leaves the Army?

Yes, in part Steve. It starts when they are children and there are five seperate stories. Blind Willie is one of them. An interesting idea in writing and linked in part to the war in Vietnam. It spans approximately twenty years and the stories are linked by the characters. Hearts in Atlantis was made into a film and Low men in Yellow Coats has a link to the Dark Towers books, which I have not read yet.

The Tommyknockers by... oh, you know who.

What is buried in the woods and what effect is it haveing on the people, animals and birds? King weaves his usual magic.

Just starting Winner Takes All by Michael Winner. A fasciating tale, if a little disjointed. Certainly no ghost writers involved.

Homage to Catalonia - George Orwell
Regarding his time spent fighting in the Spanish civil war. Only two chapters in and throughly hooked. Throughly recommended.

Funny Peculiar A biog of Benny Hill. Sympathetically written but in depth analysis of this great comics life. Saddest thing about it is that I bought it in hardback complete with dust cover in immaculate condition for .... one penny.

Benny Hill remains one of my favorites to this day; I especially miss his comedy show, which gave me many a laugh through some dark personal times.

A Year in Provence - Peter Mayle

Twelve months in Provence detailing the changes in the seasons and with great detail of the food and the wonderful little restaurants they found and people they met. Nothing much happens, but so entertaining. This is a book that I never tire of.
