I recently had the privalege of visiting a church in Switzerland and playing the organ there. (It halps when the minister is the Brother of one of your best friends...) It was a very pretty but simple and fresh looking, and fresh and bright sounding despite its age.
I don't know who the builder was, and sadly have no pictures (that's another story...).

There are various ingress doors into the pipe chambers around the organ console. The organ pictured is probably one of the greatest design triumphs of the Klais firm. How they arrived at the placement of the organ case is also ingenious: Supposedly, the Klais firm had access to brass, woodwind, and string players who would play some music from different places inside the Cathedral. When they finally settled on the ideal placement, it was noted by the Historic Preservation Authorities that the first organ was at the same place where the new instrument was to be installed.
They have had other organs which have been placed in other parts of the Cathedral, so any fix-points for the first organ had been mortared and plastered, thereby fully hiding any trace where the first organ had been.

Now that is a wonderful looking organ, thanks for sharing. I remember Robert Ampt saying never, when I asked him how often the large open diapason 32' (part of the facade pipes of my home town's town hall monster) were tuned.
