Yo Clarissa, Don't let the door hit you on your backside as you are exiting stage left.

Golly Gee, I just love being called an idiot by someone I don't even know or have even spoken to.

Seems Clarissa is a person of few words. That's a shame. I'm curious as to where the idiocy lies...

    Dear Ms. RoJo,

Methinks the idiocy was with Clarissa. I remeber her first posting - she spoke of a website that was going to be a library of scores and mp3's if I'm not mistaken. Not many MIMFers responded, then it seems she became despondent, thus her pathetic remark about Stockhausen. Then it went downhill for her.

She mentioned something like 10,000 works on the ICMA website, which she likely was the spokesperson for. I wonder if she or the ICMA members downloaded the lions-share of scores from IMSLP before it shut down. It seems like quite a few did just that. Oh well, I wish her happy trails despite her calling me an idiot - I have been called much worse than that.

    Cheers,

    Corn Dolce

Well, I may have to agree with you CD; we have two rude comments from Clarissa that have been totally uncalled for, imo. If she chooses to leave, that's her prerogative. If she would like to defend her position, she may do that as well. Up to her.

THE BOARD IS CLOSING DOWN. THIS IS THE END. For what are matters of the brain compared with the heart of a man? Light of my tents, be fleet - morning awaits at the end of the world, And the world is all at our feet. PLEASE GO BACK TO YOUR HOMES AND LISTEN TO METAL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO MINDLESSLY BURST YOUR EARDRUMS. TODAY IS BEETHOVENS BIRTHDAY AND IF HE WERE WITH US NOW, HE WOULD NEVER STOP THROWING UP. SORRY, LUDWIG - WE TRIED TO CARRY YOUR TORCH. SCHUBERT, TCHAIKOVSKY, BRUCKNER, AND WAGNER CARRIED IT FOR A WHILE. BUT NOW THE WORLD IS DROWNED IN THE NOISE OF VACUUMS, AMPS, GUITARS, TOASTERS, TELEVISIONS, IPODS, PHONES, PLUGS, CORDS, CIRCUITS, AND OTHER NOISE MAKING DEVICES. WE WEEP FOR MUSIC - FOR IT IS DEAD. The stars, that nature hung in heaven, and filled their lamps with everlasting oil, give due light to the misled and lonely traveller. Music was a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy but we have rejected all three. Music was the wine which inspired one to new generative processes, and you Ludwig, were Bacchus who pressed out this glorious wine for mankind and made us all spiritually drunken. BUT NOW ALL AROUND ME NOISE STORMS AND ROARS. WILD DARKER TIMES ARE RUMBLING TOWARDS US. I AM AFRAID THE BATTLES IS LOST.O human race born to fly upward, wherefore at a little wind dost thou fall. Adieu, goodbye, farewell, so long. The comedy is now over.

Ok, at least we know where you stand...

Clarissa, it's fine to have strong opinions on things, but you can't come here and insult our members because they have differing opinions from yours. Now you are yelling at us on top of that.

    What board is closing down?

This is an open board where people are respectful to each other, and to all composers. Maybe it's just not the right place for you. Perhaps try to find a board that caters to your opinions and your opinions only. Good luck.

We will not permit any more yelling and/or insulting of members. If so, this thread will be locked, and you will be banned.

    Ms. Clarissa,

The comedy ain't over by a long shot, dearest sister!!! For it has only begun!!! I'm probably old enough to be your father - born in '61 as a matter of fact. You fly in to MIMF and make a statement about your intentions and then not enough people respond, so you get bitter and crack a wise one about Stockhausen - mind you, I'm not into his music but I'd never let such a *ripe* comment infect a forum.

Judging by the juvenile nature of your comment, I'd say you'd need quite a few more years of maturation. Please, do us a favor - GROW UP !!!

    Respectfully,

    Corno Dolce

btw, I thought you had already *migrated* to Switzerland!?

What a load of pretentious, self-indulgent, self-satisfied drivel from a rude individual who has now taken to shouting at the forum.

    The royal "we" is hilarious.

Get over yourself – and grow up.
