Hi Jette, I haven't dropped that project but unfortunately I can't give it top priority right now, though I'm definitely going to take a look at it soon. Please be patient![]()

Really nice tune, mate.
I love the drums in this one. Dang, i get so inspired. I havent made any music in weeks...
Thanks for the comment, Frederik, I'm glad you like »Far Away«
Btw, to celebrate the new year, I have just re-encoded and re-uploaded the MP3-file in a slightly but audibly better audio quality (128kbps vs. 112kbps). I also made some (very) minor changes to the orchestration at the same time - see if you can spot themI recommend anyone who downloaded the "old" 112kbps file to re-download this new improved one.
Far Away is Amazing! The first part makes me imagine standing on a high pinnacle overlooking beautiful canyonlands on a clear day, or turn around and around on a bright starry night watching the stars. The ending sounded very Native American. I Love it!!!![]()
[quote=Frederik Magle;110]I just finished revising a piece I composed about 6 months ago. The sound and arrangement/orchestrations has been improved, and now I have decided to post the music here exclusively for free download!!! Update January 9th, 2006: I have recently done a few minor additional revisions and has now re-uploaded the piece in a slightly (yet audibly) higher audio quality than before. The MP3-file has been encoded using LAME (v.3.96.1 --alt-preset cbr 128).
The piece is called »Far Away«. It's highly inspired by drama/action/sci-fi "film-scores" and composed and recorded 100% in my own studio using mostly electronic instruments (but also some "acoustic" instruments such as an "Irish Pennywhistle").....end quote]
Frederik, I just listened to this again, and even though I'm selfishly hoping that you will finish some of your works into CD form (and thus would hold off on getting into film music just yet), I have to say this piece is PERFECT film music! Right up there with my favorite film music composers such as Hans Zimmer, Mark Isham, John Williams, Harry Gregson-Williams, Howard Shore, and John Barry...."Far Away" is Wonderful stuff! I could see it for the Bourne Identity and Bourne Ultimatum movies, for example, Easy. Thank you!![]()

Firstly, a much belated thank you for your wonderful comments, Susanne! Even though I can sometimes take (way too) time to reply, I appreciate your feedback very much.
Secondly, »Far Away« will within a few days (expected Monday or Tuesday) be available in a very high quality version that can be exclusively downloaded from my new online music store. Not only will this version be encoded in 320 kbps MP3 versus the free version's 128 kbps, but it will also have a larger dynamic range as I have made a new "mix" of the piece for the new release, without the use of compression - allowing you to hear the music just like it sounds in my studio!
Finally, I have made a new cover for the new release of »Far Away«:
Kind regards,
Frederik
Congratulations Sir Frederik with your latest production, and what a great front cover you´ve chosen. I still can´t figure out how you get the time to do all the things you do, on the other hand speaking from the most of us: Where would we all be if you did not? So hats off![]()
Best regards,

Yowser ... another great masterpiece from the brilliant mind of Sir Frederik Magle. I am in total awe at his creativity as a composer and his natural talents as a musician.
