    Help identify an organ please?

Hi. One of those really vexing aspects of purchasing music from the iTunes store is that they don't ever state what instrument is being played if you purchase organ music. At east this has been my experience.

I just purchased the three sonatas of Paul Hindemith, can someone tell me where they're played? Organist: Peter Hurford.

    thanks - Contratrombone64

    Hi CT64,

The organ used is the Rieger/Glatter-Götz in Ratzeburg Cathedral - 4 manuals/pedal with 60 stops controlling 90 ranks. The Pedal has, among other things, a 32' Prinzipal and a 32' Kontrafagott.

    Cheers,

I knew if I put it out there that my prayer would be answered. Thanks sweet corn, well done. I've now listened to the three lovely sonatas three times over. Wonderful music.
