Smile Tutorial for Editing MyOrgan or Hauptwerk definition files

    Hi my friends !

As I promised to some of you, here is a tutorial to learn how an organ definition file works and to allow you to edit it.

For this job, I have taken the definition file of a free organ (Smecno Mini Set) and added a lot of comments to the most important lines. It should help you to understand how the definition file describes all the features of a virtual organ.
My tutorial may be read like a text, but it allways remains a vailable definition file.

I suggest you to download kloria MyOrgan (if you have not) http://www.kloria.com/software/musical/myorgan/ and then download the free organ Smecno mini set at : http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/organs/smecno/screenshots.0.asp . Place the tutorial in the same folder.

Try to read the original "SmecnoMin.organ" or, if you do not understand anything, read my tutorial which is the same file but with many comments.

My tutorial can be downloaded at :

    Friendly

Sorry, I have given up with MyOrgan. Now I work with Hauptwerk.
I have no tutorials for Hauptwerk but I have written MYCO, a software to help making custom organs. See my site : http://organ.monespace.net/ORGANWORKS/software.html

Hi. I had a brief look at your software. It looks very interesting. I cannot commit myself to buying a license as I do not know when I would be using it if at all. At present, I am just collecting related software and organs (I have > 100 different ones between HW, GO, jOrgan perhaps some day in the future I would have something to play around with and share with others in the spirit of open source. I have enough material for 3 life-times!

Just one observation: the software screen runs off the bottom of the computer widescreen monitor and there is no scroll bar! You need to look into that.

    Regards
    Marco
