    The Simpsons Movie Score

I just saw the Simpsons Movie last night for the first time (didn't catch it in the cinema, so watched it on DVD instead). I thought it was great fun.

Anyhow, it's got a very fine soundtrack too by Hans Zimmer, and of course the main theme by Danny Elfman, but that got me thinking. Does anyone know whether Danny Elfman was asked to do the entire score, and if so why he didn't do it? And if not, why he wasn't asked. Not that there's anything wrong with Zimmer's score, but it just seemed natural to ask Elfman since he composed the main theme.

Oh, and I think the "Spider Pig, Spider Pig..." song is hilarious, especially the choral version

I saw that movie in the cinema when it first came out ... I laughed so much that my sides were aching ... Well, I used to have a boss that was exactly like Homer - same mannerisms - same voice - same blunders, and almost the same appearance and walk.

Worth seeing if you haven't yet!

The Simpson's movie was classic, I saw it too at the cinema. In the crowd scene, aparently every character ever on the show was there. Notable in their absence (at least in speaking parts) were Selma and Patty, strange.

I'm also curious about Frederik's questions.
The entire score is overall very well arranged.
Oh, and the film is funny.

Yeah Danny Elfman was asked first to do score but he turned the offer down. I've actually read more on a website but this is all I can remember. I will try to find that website and tell you guys more if I can
