    Very funny article. There are so many supposed devices to make life easier, but I personally think they are just a waste of time.

    I remember the K-tel record selector, didn't have one, God gave me hands and eyes for that. The latest one I have seen advertised is the bobbleoff, just run it over your clothes and no more bobbles. What happened to the humble clothes brush?

    When we were kids and my mum wanted the wood floor in the hall polished, my sister and I tied dusters to our feet, and slid along the hall, much more fun.
