    Hi Janne,

These are absolutely splendid recordings ... I envy you having such great resources available for recording the organ - and those mics - geez - certainly have reproduced the organ in all its splendor very well ... I can see why it's a "dream" to own ... they are well out of my financial reach .

Someone let you use these for this recording? Nice friends to have ... !!

Curious too, what sort of recording device was used to make this recording?
One can have the most expensive mics in the business, but they need to be connected to some equally as complimentary machine.

    hi Janne
The recordings are superb,I would'nt hesitate to buy a recording of such high quality.Any plans for a Cd release in the future perhaps?May I ask what music piece is played in the first recording?
Krummhorn, maybe a "VIP" visit to the bank manager.I don't know what mics were used in the recordings but a quality recording setup in S.A. will cost between R20 000 and R40 000 (depending on what you want or need).

I dunno, Caddis ... I'm stretched a bit on loans right now - two more years on the car and my Son's student loan looms over my head too until he can take over those payments. Being retired and on a pension income isn't all it's cracked up to be ...

I have ever, never heard any microphone that can capture a huge organ like this.

This is something for Frederik to offer every member here, this is fantastic microphones, and it's made in Denmark. I have some plan to buy the even better model DPA 4003. It can take a while to get that kind of money, but hey!
i have all the time in the world to wait until a get what is necessary.

Well Krummhorn,I guess you going to have to be patient for the meantime.

Interesting that there's little price difference between the 4006 TL and 4003 mic,but at $ 1600 these mics are expensiveApparently the 4003 is more sensitive than the 4006 TL requires a lot more attention during set up.

Oppss, sorry I forget to tell u who the composer (impro) is, Markus Wargh!
He is a brilliant organist, not many out there who can compete against
him in the world of improvisation.

    But that's my opinion!!

Don't forget that this 5 recording is made in 35min, we had very short of time
that day, when we recorded this test.

Janne, the recordings were great! I don't get to hear the pipe organ
as often as I used to. It would be nice if I could play that good. I just
play different as a beginer. Do you have a picture of that organ. I'm a
big organ fan who has been kicked off the bench for now.

Janne - that's a beautiful church. No doubt about it, you Lutherans really know how to make thinks bleak and unadorned look absolutely stylish!
