First of all; an Organ can not be any electronic instrument whose sounds are sampled or generated electronically. IF IT DOES NOT HAVE PIPES SOUNDED BY COMPRESS AIR BLOWING THROUGH THEM CONTROLED BY A CONSOLE IT IS NOT AN ORGAN AND NEVER CAN BE. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY FRO THE PAST 3000 YEARS. ANYONE WHO THINKS THIS NEEDS TO HAVE THEIR EARS AND HEAD EXAMINED . So the category 'electronic organs' needs to be taken down and an electronic synthesizer /sampler put up in its place.
THAT SAID; on the other hand fake sounds combined with real pipe sounds give some legitimacy to the concept of what an Organ is. However, the electroniic sampled or generated sounds can not be counted as ranks nor can they be counted as part of the ORgan in hybrid cases----they should only be counted as stop gaps until real pipes can be added.
On my computer; I have an entire Orchestra +Organ that I can write music and have it played with these sounds. Just because I do; does not mean that my computer is an Orchestra or should be called such---it means that my computer has borrowed sampled sounds.
Electronics are used to assist pipes to play
