Reminds me of an advert I saw for an electronic organ ... 'looks sharp in any flat, but feels perfectly natural'.

Jonesey, that's quite good, I think I'll use it. You wouldn't be Welsh would you, boyo?

Actually no ... although my Mum is Welsh, I'm born and bred in England.

In that case, like me, you're 50% English and 50% Welsh!! Except that I'm 50% Australian (mother's side) and 50% Scottish (father's side)

My wife has relatives over in Sydney I believe - sounds a very nice part of the world indeed ... I hope to visit there in the coming years.

Sydney is a fine city, for sure. It has many problems which I'm now basically over: too many people (most of whom are just plain rude), traffic gridlock (due to our state government's inability to provide decent public transport-I don't drive), cost of living is high, housing is simply not affordable (I'm on a single income, earning a decent wage, well above the basic). So, I'm moving to Brisbane, and I can't wait to leave. My twin brother lives there (he was over Sydney and moved 4 or 5 years ago), I don't see him and adore him and his wife and my two gorgeous (biased, yes?!) nieces. I've got a nice network of Brisbane friends already ... can't wait.

Q: How many organists does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Three - One to change the bulb and the other two to complain that the switch should have been fitted with a combination preset.

...something like that anyway. I'm also reminded of a less-than-kind but possibly true "joke" I once heard about organists, comparing them to an overworked carthorse - always whining for one more stop.

    Re: new march

    Soubasse,

I'm committing the "Organist as carthorse" joke to memory.

"Always whining for one more stop" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
    What a riot

    Cheers,

    CD

    Hi everybody

In French, we cannot make such a joke ...

I just read a funny "organ saying" ... organists are Great, Swell, Positive ... made me laugh.
.... But we can write :

Le Récit du Grand-Orgue à propos de l'Echo de la Bombarde est Positif

Sentence in which we can hear the name of the 5 manuals of a great organ.
    Friendly yours. Jean-Paul
