Dear all,

first and foremost I am terribly sorry I have now not enough time to visit. Would be happy if it was different, but just don't see no light at the end of a tunnel...

Thus complaining, I just could not help to leave out a video that had absolutely overthrown me.

Attilio.jpg

This is a clip produced by an Italian trio , the mastermind is Attillio Perrone. The song is called FREEDOM, and is very recommended to all fans of ELP, and to all Hammond- and Moog-freaks.

11 minutes of your time, which you will never regret about. Great playing - exquisite hammond and moog licks, elegant melodic lines, great composition and a fascinating video row. Those who still remember Karn Evil 9, will surely like it.

You may also want to visit a profile of Attilio on MySpace to enjoy his accomplished piano technique:

Hello Andrew,

It's nice to see you again around the MIMF:). The video you posted is really impressive. I'm watching it right now . I'm a big fan of the Hammond organ and now I also could hear Moog - an instrument I didn't knew earlier. There is though one thing I didn't like about this clip - the vocal part. It's just doesn't go with the rest, IMHO. I'm looking forward to read some other comments about this video.

Best regards,
Mat

P.S Andrew, I like your "Prelude" from Myspace very much:). You did great job.

Thanks, Mat!!

Moog is almost legendary instrument now - invented by Dr. Robert Moog ( in 50-60es, I believe ), the most known models - Moog modular, Minimoog. The instrument was widely used by almost all known prog ( and non prog ) bands beginning from the late 60es ( you can hear it, for example , on THE BEATLES Abbey Road - Here Comes The Sun track ), and Keith Emerson had made Moog modular a legend. MOOG became almost a synonyme of a LEAD SYNTH since that years.

Concerning Attilio - as a keyboarder, I was absolutely fascinated by his playing - he is obviously a mastermind of this project.

Thanks for your compliments for a Prelude - was pleased to read!

Now bye ( maybe back in a shadow again - not sure - I wish I could buy an eighth day in a week...;) )!!
