Hi,
I'm chris and live in England.
I owned a motorcycle shop until last May 2007, But now I am semi retired and build small Midi, (or not) Pipe organs, I sell these, usually on e-bay.
I have a fair amount of knowledge on the construction of small pipe organs, and I am willing to help any amatuer Organ builder with with anything related to small pipe organ construction.
I also supply "New" direct action chest magnets far cheaper than all other suppliers.
The attached pictures are of my latest pipe organ for sale.
It is built into a "Bureaux Bookcase", the bureaux was built in 1935, the Organ in it was built Last week !!

This is a real pleasure having another pipe organ enthusiast amongst the 'ranks' here.
I'm certain you will find some of the threads in the Pipe Organ Forum here of interest, so feel free to jump right into any discussions, or start a new one.

Looking forward to seeing you about the forum boards here.

Krummhorn,
I like the "pun" ,-- ranks.
This seems like the place to be if your interest is Pipe organ building. Also I thought it a good idea to promote what I do , bieng semi retired and not receiving any sort of "pension", yet, It seemed a good idea to offer any help I can give regarding the construction side of our passion.
I, in fact, compose classical music, some Organ and some orchestral.
I would be honoured if anyone "out there" would visit my website and would appreciate any comments (good or not so good),on my attempts at composing.
I also thought that I could be helpful in supplying The New direct action chest magnets I sell, To fellow builders.
I try to keep the price of these as low as I possibly can ,As I know they are very expensive elsewhere.
Many thanks for your most acceptable "Welcome".
Please goto my personal details for my website url.

Hello "Corno Dolce",
Nice Name !!!!
Is this a "Beam me up " Site, It seems the transporter enhancers are working fine Cap'n.
YES, I'm into "Startrek" as well as building small pipe organs.
As for My projects, I love IT, and it makes a few £'s to live on.
By the sound of it, it seems you've had a look at my website, if not, Well, go on, have a look.
My original ambition was to Play my own compositions on an Organ I built myself, This was done a few years ago. Now after selling my motorcycle business I'm doing what I Love.
Cheerio Chris.

Hi Chris,

Nah, no "beam me up" site here - I only coopted a phrase from Star Trek since there are so many brilliant people on this forum and I hope that MIMF can attract more brilliant people, just as we have attracted a brilliant human such as yourself.

Cheers,

Corno Dolce :):):):):):):)

ps. Yes, I'm a trekkie - albeit a somewhat "assimilated" Borg :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: "Resistance is futile" - I couldn't resist this forum, so I got assimilated :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Human ? ME !!. I hope I have some Ferengi attributes in here somewhere.
For the short time I have been a member of MIMF has enforced my belief that most humons are Brilliant, ( as you put it ), and friendship is a barrier against all the nasty things out there.
I still fancy "Seven of Nine" though !!!!.
I tested my latest small pipe organ today and had a little trouble with a ciphering pipe, which I found was a bit of wood shaving under the pallet.
So it was "Strip & fix".
The small organ is only 49 notes , I used some wooden pipes I've had for ages but I'll have to change these as the glue holding them together is very aged, and bits keep falling off them.
But the chest is now working fine, so I'll have a look at my pipe stock and see what else I can use.
Bye for now

Hi Chris

I won't ask if you have Ferengi ears, I remember what they were for.

My husband always fancied "Seven of Nine".

This is a good place to be, very friendly.

Hello Chris :tiphat:

Like my colleagues here at this musical ship the MIMF, I welcome you with open arms, mind and heart as well.

It´s not "beam me up". Rather "beam me in and around" this friendly politely site, the center for people from all over the world of everything that moves in music. So enjoy yourself here on any thread. Please share your musical experiences to the always hungry crowd in the MIMF like they all will towards you.

Sir Frederik, Krummhorn and Corno Dolce (the magician from Oceania) all professional pipe organ expressionists among various other talents and services. You´ll soon find out at like the rest of us - you´re at home. ;)

Hello Intet,

"The magician from Oceania" :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: You are a scream - Actually, I'm a Sorcerer's Apprentice :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Alchemy has always been giving me problems - I never can seem to get right the proportions of reagent needed to effect the desired change - Ah well, I'll have to stick with Quantum Chemistry then - doomed for the rest of my life to be an apprentice I guess.......

Cheers,

CD :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Back to the original intent of the thread eh?

Chris - wonderful instrument making, considering the complexities of organ building, you're obviously wonderfully gifted with your hands. Well done.
