Capoeira is beautiful! I used to study kung fu (more for self defense), and wushu (absolutely pointless when comes to self defense, but looks cool ). I would love to learn capoeira, but I dont think Im physically fit (or brave) enough to do it, lols

Capoeira's totally cool. But, I guess, out of my range. At least right now. So, for how long did you study kung fu? You can probably kick anyone's a*s now, huh?

well, not that long actually. back, when i was a kid, i studies karate for a little bit (just as an after school activity). Then I started with Kung Fu in high school, and studies for about a year or little longer. i got to the green belt (but I dont know how much that means, really there is a rather interesting system we had there - u only have one personal class per week, where they teach you a form and a few moves). Then you have an option to go to a group class every night of the week, where they teach you moves for self defense). You get a belt after you learn your form and those few moves they teach you in a personal class. And, of course, the forms and moves get longer and more complex for each belt.
Then I stopped with kung fu, because I moved to bay area, to go to Berkeley. There I joined a wushu club, which was also pretty cool

But, yeah, I could probably kick some ..., although I wouldnt unless I have to . I also was a part of a wrestling team in high school, played tennis, and danced and swam (for myself), so I would be fine

    Well Muza

I for one am not going to upset you, it sounds like you can well look after yourself.

I did judo at school, but it was only for one term so pretty useless really.

But I would like to do Tai Chi, it is supposed to be very good for body and mind. Just what I need.

Oh no, watch out for CT64. He's gonna fold a million of paper cranes and throw them at us like ninja stars .

By the way, that so doesnt even come close to my black belt in basket weaving and tub singing

Margaret, I know exactly what you mean about the useless. I only did wrestling for one semester, but it was soo much fun - totally not what people think it is! And yeah, tai chi is great for you! You should totally do it! I have this tape with a tai chi form, and I always wanted to learn it, but Its so long and Im so lazy, that sometimes instead of doing it along with the video I just sit on the couch and watch him do it, lols

    Hi Muza

Black belt in basket weaving and tub singing, whatever next? I shall definately watch out for CT.

Yes they do some Tai Chi locally, so I must find out when and how much.
