hey Charliewill i got my Gibson SG special maybe six or seven years ago for about 900 euros ( must be 1000 dollars, approximately ). i don't know the prices today but that's what a "classic" was worth at the time.

to Corno: yep, flamenco is a hell of a hard thing to master. i met one 30 year-old guy that was into it. spiky fingers and rough attack, strange-looking chords, you know the deal. i play a little acoustic guitar, trying to develop my own thing but i ain't got the discipline and most of all the time to get it. anyway flamenco's not my thing, though i like watching a good player from time to time.

Classical style guitar is similar to flamenco guitar but a bit easier. All it
takes is a little practice. If you can play a tune with a spanish twist
like Bach's Joy of Man's Desire you have it made in the shade. Just learning
the chords can be challenging to learn sometimes. It just takes time
and your playing can happen. As for the right electric guitar, I would
get a Fender Strat. They play like a dream!

That's the easiest question on the planet! The fingering on the electric
guitar is the same as the acoustic. I have had both and I can tell that.
the only difference is how much easier an electric guitar comparing to
    the acoustic to play.

and yet, i would add that some acoustic guitars are easier to play than others because of the nature of the strings or the thickness of the neck. it is generally admitted that holding a chord on metal strings is harder than on nylon strings. anyway Judy's right, an electric guitar is always easier to handle.

    Hello all MIMF guitar players!
I've been playing guitar for about 10 years now, learning it by myself.
I'm not fast and I don't know any scales, except the blues scale
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ I recommend this site if you need tablatures for songs, they have almost everything.
And lastly I would like to show you a pic of my guitar, it was only 300e here and it's very good guitar for that price in my opinion. It's Gibson ART120 which I have made look better with some tape

Welcome to the forum. Your guitar reminds me of Eddy Van Halen's guitar.
The only difference is your's is black and his was red.
