This is a 3D animation I made when I was in DTU - Denmark.
It is about anti-smoking, and the music is the soundtrack of requiem for a dream.
Waiting for your reviews :)

Hopefully this will make me quit. I've had a hard time giving these cancer
sticks up. I hope nobody takes this video off of this forum. I feel like I
need to remind myself what I'm doing to myself. Thank you for the video.

Hi alexiakl

That is a very powerful video. Luckily I don't smoke, but am sure something like your video would make me stop if I did.

Alex, I have had my dad, my late husband, and my favorite singers die
of lung cancer. The nicotine is just as hard on the teeth and mouth
as your lungs. I have only smoked for ten years and my teeth have
rotted one tooth at a time.

Marval, Thank you for the comment, I'm glad you don't smoke :)

Methodistgirl.. I'm sorry that you had to suffer that much because of cigarettes.. I hope my movie didn't make you feel bad and it will give you positive power. This is why I made the movie in the first place! Anyway, my father smokes 3 to 4 packets a day.. and that was the motivation for me.

I don't smoke that much. It takes me about two days to smoke one
pack. That's not so bad but yet it's not so good either. I've had
those whom I loved the most to die of lung cancer. The lungs and
the heart isn't the only two organs in the body that nicotine is hard
on. It causes us girls to have ostio arthirtis where we get hunch
backed. It's hard on the teeth and gums and causes more than
just pariria of the gums. Sorry I can't spell it which causes your
teeth not just turn yellow but actualy rot out one at a time.
I used to have a beautiful smile once. Now I have two missing
almost in the front and another one with a big ugly hole in it and
that one hurts.:bawl: Nicotine is as bad of a drug as Meth so
you can imagine the withdraw symptons being just as rough with
nicotine as meth or heroin.

That's why in the movie I illustrated cigarettes as drugs intravenous injection, so the people don't underestimate the bad side of the cigarettes.

Believe me I'm very moved by this video. I'm battling with withdraw
symptoms now. I've cried everytime I think of what I have been
doing and as a christian I will be held accountable for what I have
done to my own body with the smoking and the weight. I know that
God will ask us why. The bible does say that our bodies are temples
of the Holy Spirit. Ever walked into a church that has smoke damage
or probably a synagoge? I wonder if that is what he finds when He
makes a visit through the Holy Spirit?

God will understand, a lot of people don't even know what are you talking about, and they don't care.. but you do.. "and that's an encouraging thought" (Gandalf in Lord of the rings to Frodo)

Judy ...
I smoked for 39 years ... up to 2 packs a day sometimes (but not everyday) and I quit ... cold turkey ... that was in November 2004 and I haven't touched one since and had absolutely no cravings. You can do it too ... all it takes is willpower ... everyone has that.

Although I have no proof, but I believe that nobody has gone straight to hell for smoking or from being obese. I know of many pastors and priests who are smokers - they haven't yet got zotted by a bolt of lightening - and probably never will. There is no commandment 'thou shalt not smoke' afterall ... ...

I have a whole list of questions for God, so the debate once I get there is going to be interesting .

I'm glad someone can give it up cold turkey. I have bought what I call
my ultemite test. I bought a pack and I'm waiting until I can't stand
to look at them.

Ahhh, but the temptation is too easy having any around ... one might say to themselves "just one, only one and I won't do anymore." I tried that route and it didn't work.

I smoked my last coffin nail before going to bed one night - discarded any remaining ones, including all the ashtrays and lighters ... woke up in the morning and started the new day smokeless.

Ms. Judy ;)

If you really want to stop smoking, the best way is the cold turkey for sure. Not that it is easy, but it is the best way on behalf of your personal desire to end this decease. You may feel restless, having difficults in sleeping, feel warmer than usual, even having cold sweat, or shaking a bit....but then you should remember how many years on end you have smoked.

Smoking is an addiction like any other addiction whether alcohol, drugs, perscription medication, or like yours truely, being a workaholic for years. Though the tobacco companies for years on end have told otherwise, they have actually put material in the tobacco to keep you addicted. So don´t feel you have to be a hero to stop. Or you have to stop because your friends or family members ended the polution, or did not and died from it or anyone telling you that you should be ashamed. It won´t help you.

Like you, I had huge difficulties, though I mostly only smoked the pipe. In your shooes, I would consult my family doctor, tell him/her about it and ask for help. It´s not embarrassing at all to ask for help.

However no matter what you do, the most important issue is your own firm wish to stop smoking, not for the money wasted, not for any campain run of the telly or in adds in newspapers, but a firm wish/demand to stop poluting your own body.

I am praying for you to make this discission. Remember no one in the history of Man have died from stop smoking....
