    Angry PayPal and www.cdklassisk.dk/: WARNING

    Warning to all who use PayPal, especially if you're in the United States trying to order one of Frederik's CDs from Denmark: you will probably not see the CD and lose your money in the process. Example: I tried to order Kosmos from the only place I could find, www.cdklassisk.dk and after 6 months and re-ordering twice, with numerous emails to the owner, petitions to PayPal for refund, and eventually no satisfaction with either of them, I'm out the money for the CD. I'm so thankful Frederik makes some of his music available here in his website and store!
    When petitioning to PayPal they tell you to wait another length of time just to make sure the item has enough time to ship, and to contact the store-which as I said above, I did. I did not have the patience to keep following this up after 6 months and gave up.
    I will never order from CDklassisk.dk again nor use PayPal-EVER!. The last time I wrote the store trying to get a response and threatened to write a bad review of the store in this forum, Peter Olufsen, the owner of the CD store, finally wrote back and said in Feb08 that "more than 20% of their orders to the U.S. never get there" and that he would send out another copy "today." Still haven't seen it (since Feb.) Well, hard to believe I just happened to be one of the 20 percent! Amazon.com does not require the amount of "paperwork" PayPal requires to make a claim.
    REQUEST TO FREDERIK: could you make all your albums available through Amazon.com, or through your own online store? I'm still trying to find Kosmos. Susan

    So sorry to hear of your experiences in trying to obtain Kosmos. I think the problem lies with CDKlassisk and not PayPal ... I've ordered numerous things through PayPal and have yet to have any problems, and some things were huge ticket items (hundreds of dollars) and all went well without any glitches.

    I've copied your posting into Mr. Magle's personal forum area for the best visibility of this potential problem.

    Thanks for the empathy, and yes I believe you may be right that it's the music store, not PayPal. I do hope Frederik will decide to put up all his music at his own store. Cut out the middlepeople! Susanne

    I think that we all would like to see that happen ... I would be one of the first in line to purchase those myself .

    Oct.30, 2010: I was just notified by email that seiitoha made a comment on this thread about CDKlassisk.dk that s/he is having the same problem I did with this company. Warning to everyone that not only do you not receive your order from the company but you can NEVER UNSUBSCRIBE from them either! I've tried every way I know of to get off their email list including emailing the man in charge directly, and they just ignore you. Susan.

    Hi Susanne,

    You might be able to set their email address as 'junk mail' in your servers email client ... in that manner, it will automatically go into the junk folder and eventually be deleted. Just a thought.

    Hello Susan,

    Did you get your money back finally, from paypal or a credit card company?

    I've been still in trouble with cdklassisk.com. It's been 8 weeks since my order and I sent my first inquiry a month ago, 3 followed, but they've never given any reply to my emails yet.

    Today, I filed a claim to Moneybookers.com as you did to Paypal. Their e-payment system changed Paypal to Moneybookers.
    I also posted a review on http://www.trustpilot.dk/review/www.cdklassisk.dk to make people know about the store and also to share info with the others. You can find many bad reputations there!! I read them by using google translation.

    In case moneybookers can't solve, I'll contact with my credit card company.

    Now I just hope to get my money back. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    No I never got my money back from either cdklassisk nor PayPal. I did go through PayPal's grievance process but it was very unsatisfactory and be warned that once you are on cdklassisk's e-mailing list you'll never get off of it! (adding to Junk mail is a way of getting this annoyance out of sight).

    Exclamation Paypal warning

    susangio: thanx so much for the 411 re: these 2 companiies, which I always regarded as "reputable". I'm sorry you haven't had any luck to date in getting your money back--what a ripoff! Anyway, I'll be sure not to use them and pass the word along to my friends and family. Is there any way you could possibly take them to small claims court or is that impossible to do with internet companies . I wish you the best of luck; please keep us posted as to the outcome.
