I kinda liked it. I also listened to him play some Bach.

Thanks for the video, Corno Dolce - I liked it too!!
I read there some comments about the "metallic" sound - have to admit I just don't hear such things , it is rather for you - organ freaks - to judge...
But his playing is absolutely brilliant, for my taste.
Splendid performance ... and of course an equally splendid instrument. Something about these French instruments that makes them unique in a class all their own ... I've always liked their sound, and in this example it goes to prove that they are capable of playing modern literature as well.
The metalic sound may have been due to the lower quality audio recording - hard to get all the tonal dimension of the organ from a camcorder.

Amateur musicians practice until they get it right ...
Professional musicians practice until they can't get it wrong ...
Who's playing the organ, I thought Guillou was an old chap?
And, for what it's worth, I think this piece works just so well on the organ, far better then the original piano (but that's my personal opinion). I own a fabulous CD recording of Pictures played on a large organ from the Basilica at Freemantle, Western Australia (of all places).
One vexing thing about YouTube is that everything seems to be in mono ... which is rather dull I find.
