    Classical music in movies

I can name some movies like Mortal Beloved about Beethoven, movie
on Mozart, and I also watched an old movie about Strause who
composed such famous waltzes as Blue Danube, and Roses from
the south. But there are other movies out there with classical
music in them. Let me hear what you know and have seen in the
    movies.

Also Sprach Zarathustra ... from the movie "2001, A Space Odyssey". I remember when it first came out - went to see it a dozen times, but that was when a movie ticket was only a dollar and a half.

Here if you are lucky a movie ticket is five dollars. I was listening to
another movie. Saturday Night Fever had some classical music in it.
Fifth of Beethoven and the other one I can't think of. Thanks Krummhorn.

Five dollars? That's a bargain ... we only get the $6 ticket for weekday matinees and with my senior citizen discount ... . Going to a movie house here in "prime time" costs between $9 and $15 per head, depending on the popularity of the film. Forget visiting the snack bar ... one needs to take out a second mortgage on the house to afford a candy bar and coke ($12.50 the last [and final] time).

    Back to topic.
John Williams music in the likes of the "Home Alone" series is absolutely splendid, too.
