What is your favorite fruit or veggie?

I love a good june apple that is picked right. Right now I have to
settle for those little scrub apples that taste like wood and are
hard as rocks here unless you cut up and cook them first. I love
tangerines during the holidays. They smell just like Christmas.

Gimme a good ole macoun apple fresh picked on a nice cool crisp fall day~hmmmm
I used to like berries of various types but now a days don't care for fruit of a Bush-
As for veggies celery, broccoli are at the top of a loooong list. I really like most.

Any one eat the fruit of beach rose (rosa rugosa)? We call them rose hip's some call them beach plum's. You only eat the outer fleshy part~after the first frost is when they are the sweetest!

Yeah, Judy, as long as it's warm--especially tonite--with a little slab of vanilla ice cream on top!

I thought Americans ate apple pie with cheese. I hear tell that op norf in england they eat Christmas cake with cheese and a glass of whisky

Op Norf Teddy we used to eat fruit cake with cheese, absolutely lovely. Apples with cheese as well.

I don't know if they are the same but I used to make wine and jam from rose hips

Judy you're correct that vitamin C comes from the rose hip. It has a very high concentration of it~more than an orange.

I have tried the tea made with the rose hips and hibiscus flowers. It's very good...
