I love a good june apple that is picked right. Right now I have to
settle for those little scrub apples that taste like wood and are
hard as rocks here unless you cut up and cook them first. I love
tangerines during the holidays. They smell just like Christmas.

Any one eat the fruit of beach rose (rosa rugosa)? We call them rose hip's some call them beach plum's. You only eat the outer fleshy part~after the first frost is when they are the sweetest!

Guys, aren't some vitamins or other types of medicines made or distilled from these as well?

I think vitamin C is distracted from rose hips. I also heard
of tea made of dried hibiscus flowers.

Judy you're correct that vitamin C comes from the rose hip. It has a very high concentration of it~more than an orange.

I have tried the tea made with the rose hips and hibiscus flowers. It's very good...
