The case for Mahler being the ultimate symphonist

I think Mahler is the God of the large scale orchestral works. All of his symphonies encompass every conceivable emotion there is in life. To write a symphony is to create a world he said. To hear his symphonies live in concert is a truly awe-inspiring experience I have found. For example,to hear his sixth symphony"The Tragic" is like witnessing apersons entire being unfolding in sound. If anybody out there shares my unbridled championship of Mahler's gifts feel free to PM me and/or share thoughts in these forums. Thank you.

I've played about four Mahler symphonies and never want to suffer the torture again as long as I live. Not a fan here but you did ask for comments. Not a personal one at you, however, zoned.
