    Baching up the wrong tree ...

    One of the joys of owning my BIG blue complete Bach on CD box is that there's never a dull moment and always something to delight the spirit. Especially in the Cantatas, not ONE of them is dull, and all of them are just so different (noice, unusual, different).

    In particular, I was listening to BWV 52 (Cantata) and the opening movement (sinfonia) is identical to the opening of the first Brandenburg Concerto. Bach must have had a late night dealing with babies (making them) and ran out of time to compose that part of this cantata, eh?
