Apparently a fairly controversial letter written by Einstein is up on the auction block.

Hmm...
''Music, I feel, should be emotional first and intellectual second.'' - Maurice Ravel
''The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.'' - Michael Jackson
....But it only shows me that Einstein was not a Christian - it is a known fact. His views were, as much as I know - basing on some of quotations of him ( all taken from the book The Life Of Albert Einstein, issued in Moscow 1959, author Lvov V.E. ) - rather pantheistic. This means a mix of different religious, phylosophic and scientific cosmogonic ideas - in fact, every pantheist tries to create something like his own religion. Einstein has understood God as a kind of Universal Reason, standing behind the order of the Universe. I can try to re-translate this quotations, or to look for them in Internet.
This letter looks for me more like a polemic on some Christian , or biblical issues, whereas both parts understand the biblical text too literal.

Wasn't he a Jew?
Dear Kromme,
And your point being...if he was of Jewish heritage?
Respectfully yours,

as far as I know, Einstein was FREE from religon labiriants, even if his origins are Jewish. He created his own ideas, rules and so on.. And to admit, I'm a big fan of his quotes, as well as Gandhi's
