    Beowulf

I watched the animated movie Beowulf last night, and I must say the effects were pretty damned good. At first I didn't realise it was animated, I certainly had escaped all the hype about it before its theatre release. I figured that out fairly quickly of course. I thought it was terrific, anyone else see it?

I saw it and thought that it portrayed a somewhat *nuanced* reference to pre-Christian Norse culture. What would be really fascinating is if there would be movies based on the Icelandic Sagas like those listed below:

yeah, you're right, though it did focus on the Beowulf story nicely, not that I've read it for ages. Must read it again and see how distilled it is.

I thought the movie was alright, but I enjoyed the following song from the movie in particular:

    Gently As She Goes

We need more movies with princesses, dragons, and knights if you ask me...

Yes really ! this was the longest and the best 3D movie I watched, and I was so impressed, u feel that the arrows are going over ur head ! so u start turning ur head to run from the arrows .. and everything gets so close to u.. that was really amazing..
