So, the planets line up - they've been doing that for millions of years - the sky won't fall because of it. Remember, the Eternal One has it all under control and we can do nothing about it!

How's this for planetary alignment - http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/2...979981056.html ? Click through the first few pictures.
And here's a story that explains what it's all about - http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2008/...491827180.html

My fiancee and I were at the top of Mauna Kea at 13,796 feet for the past few nights and witnessed the interesting positions of the planets. Thanx for sharing the photos and article.
you never seem to stay at same place corno!![]()
I missed it because there's too much obstruction, ie, other people's houses, facing west.

I believe something wonderful is going to happen if you ask me. We are
also in line with the two planets if you think on it. We are going to see
an aquarius before it's over. That's what I'm thinking on what we are
looking at.

While the power was out from the ice storm, I got to look and stargaze
and I was able to see all of the stars from Orion to the Big Dipper.
The moon shown brightly too. That was my entertainment for a while
and I loved it. When the power is on I can't see any stars like that.
Unless I get on Google Earth! There's too many lights in my little
neighborhood to play with astronomy like you can out in the country
or when the lights are out.

It was sometime during the seventies - there was a big flap over a book 'The Jupiter Effect'. All the planets were going to line up. I don't remember if they were in a straight line on one side of the sun but the results (according to the book) would be catastrophic. Of course - nothing happened.
There were also great stories of impending doom when the Earth actually passed through the tail of Haleys (sp?) comet as it passed - I think it was about 1920, not sure of the date.
Now we have this 2012 stuff. (sigh).

Don't let things like that scare you. Just live your life one day at a time
and be thankful that you are given that moment to live. We aren't promised
tomorrow let alone three years from now. Live each day as if it were your
last and live it wisely.

Not to worry. I don't put any faith in that sort of thing. I quite agree with your philosophy. The universe is an awful big place, and is violent beyond anything we can imagine. Yet, here we are. And to a very great extent due (probably) to a gigantic supernova explosion countless years ago. Fantastic!

If you ask me, it still takes prayer to get an answer.
