    Do you know where this was taken? ( Ok go ahead hit me with the answer to this dumb question )

    In the distance it looks like snow capped mtns but it is actually cloud's isn't it?

    Probably somewhere between New York and San Francisco. Most likely they are clouds. At this flight level you don't experience any turbulence.

    I've been at the height of 90,000' AGL. There it was black above and blue below and the curvature of earth is more pronounced.

    I haven't rode in a plane or jet since I was 14. That was a long time
    ago when they first came out with the 747. I was in a 727 that day
    from Pheonix to Indianapolis. Then on my way home after my parents
    and I found our car.
