Ooh, I wonder what she had in store for you. I hope she didn't cry.

There is plenty to explore, not that I have ever been.

She got a little misty, understandable. I adore Canada it's where I have family but, thanks to being in the Commonwealth (NOT) I can only visit, not live. Silly Australian and Canadian Governments need to have a better relationship.

I have never been to Canada and now I couldn't afford it. I can imagine

Judy, especially on the west coast (think the Rocky Mountains), Canada is "to die for..."

I've been pretty much all over this country, and I think I have to agree with you, CT64. Although don't knock the east coast and, well, the middle. If you like big open spaces, the prairies are for you! And water-wise; Atlantic ocean, Pacific ocean, the Great Lakes...Yep; we got it all!

Humble apology to any Canadian taking offense at my west coast comment, I'll clarify, Canada IS wonderful especially on the West Coast, I've not seen too much of the praries or the east (apart from Niagra) so can't pass judgement.

No apology necessary CT64; I don't think anyone will hold it against you if you have developed a fondness for a particular area of the country. We probably all have one or two fav areas in each country we've been to.

    Hi CT,
If you have family living here, then they can sponsor you for permanent residency. Then after 10 years you can be granted citizenship. Of course, you could always marry a Canadian or be in a conjugal relationship with someone and then you would get citizenship after 3 years.
