    Composer Oliver Schroer Dies

    Canada said good-bye to one of its most distinctive fiddlers and composers when Oliver Schroer died on Thursday.

    Canada's beloved fiddler Oliver Schroer died on Thursday, July 3rd of leukemia. The 52-year-old avant garde musician passed away in Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto after fighting leukemia for over a year.

    Always sad to learn of another Classical musician and/or composer passing on into the hereafter. I too, am not fully familiar with all his works and would also appreciate some enlightenment of his accomplishments.
