    The Best Of Double-Bass...

Worlds greatest living Double-Bass player - listen to the interview and musical examples presented - the tone this guy coaxes out of the instrument is just phenomenal - this is why I also love the Double-Bass:

Do you want to know something? I have played a double bass. I had
to stand on something so that I could reach some of the notes.
I'm a bit on the short side. I'm 5 foot 2 inches and the double bass is
6 feet and 3 inches tall. It can be a delima.

Excellent playing. Nice to hear this instrument as a focal point.

I just love blanket statements: the world's best double bass player.

Totally subjective, true, a statement of fact, I don't think so.
