    classical song from australian commercial

    hello,
to be honest, my first and probably only post, unless i need another question answered.... apologies and mean no disrespect. love music, universally, but like most people, don't use something until i need something.

there is an ad, that may have been an airline ad.

there wasn't so much any singing. more a rhythm sung

    like this:

hm hmm hmm hm hm hm hm hmm.
hm hmm hmm hm hm hmmmm
    hm hm hm

i know it look and reads stupidly, but its a humming type song that builds.

    brilliant and perfect.

    can anyone advise

    thank you
    travis k

Possibly this particular theme from The Mission – fades in at about 3:10. Music by Ennio Morricone.

Other airline ads that come to mind: Qantas used (uses?) "I Still Call Australia Home" (Peter Allen); British Airways used the Lakme Flower Duet (Delibes). Don't suppose you're thinking of Carmina Burana (Orff)? It seems to get used every now and then for pushing various products. (Doesn't involve a whole lot of humming though.)

Sounds like the Humming Chorus, from Madam Butterfly, but played a little too fast.

    thanks everyone for replies.
art rock - not crash test. love that song. once, there was girl who got into an accident and couldn't come to school... beautiful

toto- will look at mission and carmina possibility. not lakme flower.

    Contra- nice one!

JHC- will also give a try.

the hmm hmming that i wrote isn't a substitute for words. its literally got humming at start. very classical, though never heard beyond it. it mightn have been an airline ad. but def australian ad.

    thanks everyone

    see you on the beach

    Good luck travisk.

Any chance you could pick out the notes of the tune on a piano or guitar and post what they are?

Humming this thing, it actually sounds somewhat familiar. Could it possibly have been a beer commercial?

Hi, don't know if you're been successful or been back but I stumbled across your post while I was searching for a similar track, I was successful in finding mine and thought maybe it was the one you're searching for:
    Conquest of Paradise by Vangelis

The only airline commercial song I know that uses a non-lyric rhythmic singing track is "Adiemus" by Karl Jenkins. Forget which airline it was.
