I really thought "horror" movies didn't scare me until

Sorry Pal

Well, I was in my local DVD shop last night and said to the guy there I wanted something edgy, thriller maybe, not necessarily horror but confronting. So he recommended I watch The Descent. I have never been so terrified in my life (not since seeing Alien at the movies when it first came out). Anyone else seen The Descent?

Mental note, never, but never EVER go caving.

I went to Youtube a bit and I saw some monsters...This made me laugh...LOL. Monsters are pretty funny!

I prefer more unsaid stuff...more like "The others", a good movie FOR ME!

Promised myself I would watch The Descent, on CT64s recommendation, and then forgot about it. Must get it out and try it. One thing amazes me. Stephen King is a prolific writer and king of the modern horror writers, but his film adaptations are either fantastic, like The Shining and Christine or rubbush, as in The Mist. Why? You would think a famous writer such as him would be able to pick the best producers and directors but it does not seem to be so.

I don't watch horror movies as they don't have much interest. Some of the psyhological thrillers can be entertaining (if I have someone to protect me after watching :) )

Stephen King is a neighbor~well kind of. He lives about 45 minutes away. As you can imagine he has a lot of visitors during Halloween. He is a nice man (met him once or twice) and a community oriented man...

A dear friend who lived in a spooky old house complete with a turret moved after watch The Sixth Sense. They were convinced that if they stayed there they would end up seeing something one night, whether real or imaginery.

Taken out of context ruins the movie - I wouldn't bother watching after seeing that on YouTube.
