Does this piece of music suit this poem?

    Hey peeps :-)

I'm very new to listening to classical music. Shamefull that I do not know a lot about composers as of yet, but I am doing my research.

My first love and hobby at the moment is poetry. This has really taken off for me and I am doing so well at it. However I am a true believer in expressing feelings through music.

I believe classical music is just so beautiful, both happy and sad pieces always bring a tear to my eye.

My reason for this post this evening, I have just done my first experiment in mixing some classical music with one of my poems. I incorporated both into a video which I created and edited myself. I would really really appreciate everyones views and comments on this. I am not sure that the piece of music I have choosen is PERFECT for the poem in question.

I have choosen a piece by Michael Nyman "The heart asks pleasure first", I think it's a beautiful piece of music and it best matches my poem? See I am not sure... Can you please have a look at my video and let me know what you think? Is there another piece of classical music that will suit this poem better? ALL comments and ratings GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thank you for your time :-)

    Aloha moonbeam5432,

Welcome aboard - Please do make yourself feel right at home and stay for a spell. Good job on fitting the words and music together. My Lady and I saw your vid and wonder why you decide to fall into the chasm away from your pain? You will get so much stronger if you meet your pain head on and deny it from ever taking hold of you and controlling your life. When you fall into the chasm you have let the pain conquer you - bad move.

    Cheers,

    Corno Dolce

I did write that poem over 2 years ago. I have since moved on, I am a much happier person now. I just felt the need to share it further. It felt more like a story in the video. I'm definitely sticking around in here. Everyone seems so friendly :-) And I can't wait to learn loads more about classical music.... Have a good day everyone :-)
