    Aloha Master Krummhorn,

My condolences to you dear sir that you had *one of those days* - They can be a real bear sometimes; happening at a moment when least expected. I'm glad that I could run interference for you - Methinks that CT64 was *joshing* and trying a bit of sarcastic humour, ergo, meaning no real harm.

Back on topic: Michael Murray - A top-end Dupre and Bach interpreter.

    Cheers,

    CD

Sweet Corn - it's cool, you don't need to intervene between the wise, great and wonderful Krummiest and myself. We understand each other perfectly well ... besides, my hearing aide is now misplaced so I'm blissfully unaware of everything!

About Lemare being in San Francisco before 1934: My dad used to say that, back at that time in S. F., you didn't take your trash can out to the curb without wearing a coat and tie. HAH!! Have you been around S. F. lately??? It has more creeps than an asylum and what it sends to Congress may be open to question, too. Pelosi?? Give me a break.

A thread of this type - Who is your favorite (....) is going to elicit a different answer from every entrant.

I second that: his last commercial CD before retiring, recorded @St-Sulpice, is also one of his very best, imho.

And lets not forget Thomas Murray, great champion of American organs...

Yep, afraid so. He's now the assistant organist at St Mark's Episcopal Church in Columbus, Ohio. Look here under "Music Staff": http://www.stmarks-ua.org/staff.htm

There are many !!! Diane Bish and I studied under same organ teachers and lived in same town and grew up together in same area. I have always respected her even if she does play fast tempos alot. So there is more out of Kansas then just Dorothy..lol

It seems a bit odd that Diane Bish gets so little mention in these forums. True, she's nothing if not flamboyant, and I agree about her ambulance chasing tempi, but, as might be said of a certain Fox, you have to respect technical ability. I don't go for the idea that fast tempi necessarily mean 'better', because to me a lot of it is just showing off what they can do. But the fact remains, how many can out-do her?

Carlo Curley is cut very much from the same bolt as Fox or Bish, but of the three is the better musician, IMHO (let the flame war begin! )

No flame wars, please? This Forum is a peaceful respite from the *Flame Forums* everywhere else...

Imo Daniel Roth, Olivier Latry, Paolo Oreni, and Paul Jacobs are tied for *Top-of-the-food-chain* in re to musician's musicians.
