    Dear MIMFers,

    An instrument that I believe never got a fair shake in America is the Ondes Martenot. A fellow in France has had a company build an improved version of it. It is now called the L'ondea:

    yes but Messiaen never used it like the tawdry sci-fi film score composers!

    Very cool sounding. It reminds me of the glass harmonica. Yes, it is a haunting sound, but relaxing as well.
