    Suggested Works

Hi! I'm new to the forum, and have registered with one main interest in mind.

I'm trying to find good, dramatic, classical music for certain roleplaying games. I need orchestral music that could suit both fights and exposition.

However I have no idea where to start and i'm trying to avoid the kind of music that is used in mainstream media (like zarathustra or beethoven's fifth or O Fortuna)

I was wondering if someone could help me.

    Greetings Mr. Nemo

Welcome to Magle International Music Forums.

Night on Bald Mountain (Mussorgski) comes to mind as a possibility for your quest.
Certain parts of the Symphony No3 in C Minor for Organ/Orchestra (Saint-Saens) is another possibility.

While you are waiting for others to reply, take a stroll through the rest of this forum site - We have a plethora of interesting discussions taking place most of the time. Feel free to jump right in at anytime.

Hi, welcome, Mr nemo. i would suggest that you delve into the huge and often under-rated original sound tracks for movies, animated features, anything that is accompanied with orchestral music. even when looking at big names like hermann, bernstein, elfman, williams, etc you can always find your own thing that will fit.

    Hello Mr Nemo

Welcome to the forum, you have been given some good recomendations. sunwaiter had a good idea, many films have scenes like you want. I also think possibly Beethoven's ninth in places would be good, or Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture, but that might be a little over dramatic.

    Good luck with your project.
