    Shoes are an issue ...

This hilarious little email was courtesy of our receptionist ... I laughed.

    Hi girls,

I was walking out of the building today to pick up my lunch….I looked across the street and at first I thought it was the sun in my eyes, but there like a beacon in the night, an oasis in the desert, like a snake in the garden of Eden, A NEW handbag and shoe shop!!!!Arrrrragh has opened.

At once my pulse quickened, my palms started to sweat, I just knew there and then I was doomed! All my willpower would leave me and I knew that by Tuesday of next week I would succumb to temptation and enter their doors and be lost forever!!

I am weak girls and there is no hope for me, but you can still be saved! Use the back entrance, bring a hoodie to work wear it backwards when leaving the building, and don’t even think about “just browsing” you will just be in denial!

    So please think of your relationships, your bank managers, and your wallet and DON’T go there. If you need some support please contact;

    S.H.O.E.S

(Society for Hopeless Over the Edge Shoe-aholics)!

    The sad girl at reception!
I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

too cute. at least someone who's self-conscient enough! i wish i had the courage and the strength to resist to temptation in the same way when the Chocoman that's within me is struggling to get out!

Stay stong, sad girl at the reception!

    HI CT

How funny, she is telling other girls to resist, but admitting she might be tempted. There is only one way out of that temptation, DO NOT GO IN, admire from afar. That is probably easier said than done.

Have you noticed the style of shoes now days? I can't for the life of
me find a decent pair that doesn't hurt my feet. I'm wearing these
Crocs that can be hard on your feet. They have simply ruined my feet
to the fact that I can't wear nothing else unless the shoe is wide at
the toe and then I wind up with blisters on my heals. Some are really
cute on the foot but wait until you start walking in them and see how
cute they really are after looking for the first aid aisle for some band aids
for the blister they just caused and corns on the toes. The dress shoes
that are on the market now is probably a podiatrist's nightmare when
some of the girls go to see the doctor for foot problems. Either the
shoe is too flat, too heavy I wore a pair to church and I felt like I had
lead on the bottom of my shoes they were so heavy;, not enough.
I actually hate flipflops. I'd rather wear some comfy sandals with a
strap to hold them in place. Sometimes the dress shoe is too tall
of a high heel. I'd break my neck in them and wind up in the hospital
for sure for broken neck or ankle with a hard cast on it. Sometimes
the shoe is too thin where if you step on a small rock it feels like
a boulder. I can see why some of these old ladies have bunions, corns,
hammer toes, and crooked feet is when they were young ladies they
wore high heels three inches tall to make them look taller and sexy.
I see nothing sexy in shoes that hurt my feet. My all time favorite is
the moccasin at the right size or they hurt and house shoes. Sneakers
are hard on the feet if the arch is in the wrong place and gives you
a sore instep after you take them off. Boots I can't wear because
my legs aren't built like sticks. I have to wear the lace up like the
military wears and that doesn't look very nice. What do you guys
    find at the shoe store.

Judy darling thank you for your concise reply, oh ye of little words!! But I know, honey, feet are an issue and forcing them into wrong sizes for the sake of fashion destroyed my mother's feet (Mary Janes).
