Yup, it's true ... World Toilet Day has occured every November 19th since 2001 ... wonder how I missed it last year :rolleyes:

The World Toilet Organization has a website, but listing that here would be a violation of TOS as it asks for donations ...

I give you instead the Wikipedia info for World Toilet Day. Don't view this if you are eating dinner ... ...

i ain't got no toilet home, only in the corridor. at last there is one! the only condition is to keep calm when neighbours don't show too much .. mm... let's say, hygenic solidarity.

don't flush my music down, give it a try if you please

Wow, world toilet day, that's a new one on me.

Somebody must have known because they did a statue of one, and gave instructions on how to use one.

hey this sign can really be useful cause once i used toilets that looked like a cross between genuine turkish ones with the latest japanese self-washing thing!
sometimes, choices are hard to make.

I am glad to be of help sunwaiter. Sometimes it is difficult because different countries have signs that are not easy to tell which are male or female.

Oooh, CD ... that was a good one

I guess it can be safely stated that "no job is done until the paperwork is completed."

CD,

My first encounter with a bidet was in Rome, Italy ... following an 18 hour bus ride from Lucerne, Switzerland.

T'was a flushing experience I'll never forget

(I best not say anymore on the subject for fear of having to ban myself)

A flushing experience, good one Krummhorn.

When I was young (many years ago) we used to go on holiday to France. All the places seemed to have a bidet. We found them very useful for washing sandy feet after having been on the beach.

So true, Margaret, about bidet's being plentiful in Europe. I don't see many here in the US, but then I don't frequent the hoi-faloy places much, which is where I suspect most of the are in this country.

That was quite the demonstration ... very complete.

My only hope that the water pipe was connected to a warm water source. The prospect of a sudden burst of cold tap water on ones ... ... might be a sudden awakening.

Forget the morning coffee for a wake-me-up ...
