    Hi Robert,

I have just spent a lovely afternoon listening to Bach. Thank you for sharing him with us, his music is such a delight to listen to. I am suprised my LP of the Brandenburg concertos has not worn out.

    Thanks again for sharing.

By the late 1970's vinyl record companies were producing some amazing recordings of classical music. Amongst the very best was a highly acclaimed series of Bach harpsichord concertos made in 1979 by German sound technicians and musicians of English Concert for Deutsch Gramophone (Archiv) - a series which is still today recognised as one of the best ever made in classical music. Lead soloist was Trevor Pinnock.

The work of these talented sound engineers together with the playing of these brilliant musicians has probably never been bettered in these works, before or since.

    Here's a single movement from that 1979 series -

    J.S. Bach
Concerto for 2 Harpsichords in C Minor
    BWV 1060/3
    3rd Movement
    Trevor Pinnock and Colleague
    English Concert
    Archiv
