Modern music has its place in the musical society. For some it is a take it or leave it situation, for others it can be quite different.

Some of it I can tolerate - depends on how it sounds.

There are so many type of modern music from which to choose that I can't answer the question. I like some and loathe others.

I suppose in a couple of centuries what modern music is to us will be considered classical because if you think about composers like Chopin was considered a modern musician at his time. I particular can't find anything inspiring in the music that's being created today although that doesn't keep me from not turning on my radio but I tend to stick to country, rock, and r&b for the most part. I like music that moves me and has a purpose. Of course I'm no one to say that one piece of music does not mean something to someone else....it's really a matter of opinion.
