    The Strawbs

Are there any other Strawbs' music enthusiasts on this board besides me? (or am I possibly posting in the wrong forum, here?) If so, which are your favorite works? Mine is, (as far as I currently know until I learn better) "Hero And Heroine" album

    cheers

    Strawbs

Yeah, this thread seems to have been posted at the wrong forum indeed. The Sbrawbs were one of the best progressive bands from the golden days (the 70's) and one of my personal favorites too.

I think this thread should be moved to the Progressive forum.

    Cheers,
    Demetrio.

Yes, an excellent band, mostly overlooked. Hero and Heroine was a great album, but my personal favourite is Bursting at the Seams. Blue Weaver's keyboard work and Dave Cousins' playing on the opening track, Flying, are beautiful. And The Winter and the Summer must be one of the best build-ups of layered instruments ever.
