Someone knows the name of the french disco song playing while Michael Caine dances with Glenne Headly in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, the 1988 film?
Im trying to identify that song since 20 years ago.
Thanks.

According to IMDB, indeed, Celui qui s'en Va by Marie Myriam.

I dont know. I would need to hear that song to say it and I have not found it in the net, but that would be too easy. There are many many people looking for that song, as you can see here:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095031/board/nest/15069157

One of them wrote an email to Michael Caine about it, without response at the moment. Try to find that scene of the film and hear it. Its a very beautiful song.

P.S.: No, not is "Celui qui s´en Va". That song is in the film, but not is the song we are looking for. Nobody in 20 years has been able to find that misterious and beautiful song...

You probably know already, but for the benefit of others here ... there are times where a piece of music heard on the movie soundtrack doesn't always get pressed to a CD. In situations like that it could be licensing issues, etc.

Actually, my husband owns "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" on DVD but I haven`t really sat down to watch it. I`ll try to find that scene you`re referring to, but I doubt I can identify the song since I don`t know very much about French disco songs...;)
