I was astounded when I first learned how many concerti the man composed. Some are repetitive but very ingenious none the less.

    Hi jawoodrfuff,

Yes, and the story of how Vivaldi's musical manuscripts were rediscovered and first performed/recorded in modern times is fascinating.

Speaking of huge numbers of musical works by composers, the record seems to be held by G.P. Telemann (1681-1767) who is estimated to have written no less than 20 entire annual cyles of church cantatas alone and some 3,400 musical works in total. Not less than 1,700 of these are cantatas, of which some 1,400 have survived. LOL ! An amazing output.
