What does everyone think of Tool, one of my favourite bands personally.

Also who believes the whole Lateralus Code thing?

Dont know about the "lateralus" code, but TOOL is a great band and I always make the comparison that they sound like a more metal version of RUSH. Alex Lifeson has said that TOOL is a band that he likes to listen to a lot.

Yes, I like TOOL... I thought Lateralus was a masterpiece, although I was a little disappointed with 10,000 Days. Although I wasn't expecting Lateralus II, I still think it lacked substance. Anyway, I believe they're shortly retunring to the studio...

I've liked them for a long time.

I'd agree that 10,000 days ins't as good as Lateralus, but it is still a work of some distinction and extraordinary in scope.

They are a band who continue to defy definition and make challenging music when it would be easy to 'lose the creative fire' after so long.

I've posted enough about TOOL on this site. I do agree that 10,000 Days was not as good as Lateralus, with the exception of Rosetta Stoned which I think is one of their best.

Tool has been one of my favourite bands from first listen. I hear they're recording an album this year!
