At the very least the police officer should have looked at the images on the camera phone. Talk about "shooting from the hip", investigative wise.
But it's true, Mike ... paranoia seems to be worldwide these days. Nobody has any common sense anymore, or is afraid to apply it.

How crazy was that, it makes one afraid to just go out and use your camera in public.
All the parent who complained had to do was look at the photos, the police definately over reacted.

Man, I thought America was choking on "politcal correctness"; it's looking more and more like the UK may be a nice place to visit, but I don't think I could live there (no disrepect intended).

I think it's widespread idiocy. I was at a railway station with a photographer a few months ago - with permission. A group of school kids got off a train and the teacher raced over to make sure we didn't get any shots of them.
When I think about the naked baby photographs in my parents' album ...
