Yeah, but I sure miss 'em. I love those steamed buns!

I love buns (not necessarily steamed ones though, not been to the sauna for a while)
If you're not worried about the waistline or cholesterol then a lardy cake takes some beating. Almost a bun texture but oozing lard and coated in sugar

Eat it if you dare.
Ooh that looks lovely Mike, I want one but my waistline doesn't.
Margaret
I can also do a mean spotted dick (a steamed suet pudding dotted with currants and sultanas, equally evil to the waistline and cholesterol but really yummy with it!)
Must work on reducing these recipés to single person quantities, unless someone wants to move in ..................??????
I just had a heaping bowl of Homemade Brand Chocolate-Chip Cookie Dough...
and I'm chasin' it down with some coffee.
Translation: I'm likely to post quite a few times tonight. lol
It's nearing time for all kinds of Christmas cookies...yum.
Yep - I see the stores are selling fruit cake now. Thats another of my favorite snacks when I can afford it. Fruit cake and cheese....

And here's a snack for eat "on the run" (pun intended)
Good job that's not a jam roll
Thank you CT, I was enjoying my coffee until I saw your video. I bet he gave that experience a thumbs down. I love the Chocolate roll car.
This is what you can do with Stilton.
Eau de Stilton
Stilton has launched a blue cheese perfume. Will it catch on? The makers of the famously smelly Stilton blue cheese have produced their own perfume.

I was going to look for a goodie to post but after that eel video, I'm still reeling with disgust. I mean...eeeewwww! But what a jerk anyway. That will take a bit to get over watching. Thanks(?)
Further to my post back in October about steamed suet puddings, I've solved the problem. They cook very well in the microwave, 4 to 5 minutes against 2 hours steaming!!
I now mix up enough plain dry ingredients for about 5 or 6 individual size ones, spoon out enough for 1 pud, add fruit, like currants, sultanas, chopped dried apricots or what ever you fancy (assuming you want a fruit one) then add egg and/or milk to complete mixing and put into an individual size bowl, repeat but adding different fruit(s) or putting jam, or syrup in the bottom of the bowl(s) until you have used up all the dry mix. Cover the bowls with cling film then cook in microwave, betwen 4 and 5 minutes depending on power of your microwave.
Other variations you could add include ground almonds, dessicated coconut, cinnamon, or nutmeg
Freeze any you can't eat same day.
