Timeless, classic, film scores
Timeless, classic, film scores
Which are your favourites?
I like all of john Williams' work especially the soundtrack for the Deer hunter and Forest Gump.

Those are indeed great scores
(The "Cavatina" from Deer Hunter has truly become a timeless classic). However, the scores are not composed by John Williams.
The Deer Hunter soundtrack was composed (mainly) by Stanley Myers, and I believe the guitar solo in Cavatina was performed by the guitarist John Williams (the composer John Williams and the guitarist John Williams often get mixed up).
The Forrest Gump score was composed by Alan Silvestri.

Ah. Alan Silvestri is indeed a genius. He also composed the theme for a film called, 'The Bodyguard.' Which did very well, I might add.
I've also noticed that. For a journalism research project that I had to complete, we were to pick our own subject, and of course, I chose John Williams. When I googled him, I ran into several links that had to do with the guitarist, John Williams. So, I understand that confusion.
