    Finalmente! Maestro Germani on Youtube.

    Right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJiVGjQinNo.

You may safely tune in at around 4'40", when he starts playing part of Sowerby's Pageant (of which he is the decicatee).

Maybe not Fernando at his best, but we're lucky to have footage of such a legend at all!

Thanks for pointing this out. It's an unexpected 'clip' and only a small extract of the work whose total performance time is 10 minutes or so. However, it's illuminating and demonstrates that Germani's phenomenal pedal technique was MORE than a legend. I have a CD of some of Sowerby's organ works which includes 'Pageant' played by David Craighead (another virtuoso). The CD's accompanying booklet includes Germani's legendary comment after receiving Sowerby's score :' Now write for me something difficult!'
I had the opportunity of hearing Germani 'in the flesh' twice, playing conventional organ recitals. I had no idea he performed also as a 'popular' entertainer as in this Youtube clip !
