That was great fun Stephen. By the way, did you know that tune was written not by Richard Rodgers, but by Richard Wagner?
Looks like it would have been a fun event to witness ... although obviously orchestrated and properly choreographed, but still a neat thing for that group to do.

I'm really peeved that nobody's asked me to explain my comment about Richard Wagner - but I'll do it anyway
. I'm no great opera fan, but a couple of times when I've listened to the overture from Tannhauser on the radio I heard it quite clearly - "Sew, a needle pulling thread, La, a note to follow sew, Tea, a drink with jam and bread." The notes are all in there.
Thanks for that Stephen, they all seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Thanks, folks. I thought it was fun and jhnbrbr - thank you for pointing out the bit about Wagner. Never knew that before. Anyway, I think it would be quite interesting to be in such a place when one of those flash mob events happened. Looks like it would be quite an experience.

There is a group in New York called Improv Everywhere and they perform those beloved flash mob-type things. Here are a couple more:

Thank you for sharing those Stephen. They both had the feel good factor, I loved the look on people's faces.
