    Beautiful pics ... love the blues and greens in the ice formations.
    Looks chilly as Sylvie points out, but I suppose when one lives there, you get used to it.

    Sylvie, this was in a fact taken on a warm summerday hehe... - but the Icelandic landscape and weather can be so contrasting. It has been said that in Iceland you can experience all seasons in a one day hehe...

    Krummhorn, sure you get used to it but Iceland isn't quite as cold as many people think because of the Gulf stream which warms up the climate here.

    Contratrombone64, ah you get the 12 points for correct answer on the music hehe... - Yea, I thought it would match perfectly. I'm happy that I'm not the only one thinking that.

    Is the deepest lake in Iceland entitled *Myvatn*?

    Hi CD,

    nope the deepest lake in Iceland is called "Öskjuvatn" or in direct translation "Ash lake" - that lake is about 220 meters deep. Mývatn is only about 4 meters where it is deepest. But it's sure beautiful sight to visit.
