    Smile Organ request for Last Date by Floyd Cramer

    Hi, my name is Liz and I am new on this site. I play the organ and also the piano. I like all kinds of music, classical, rock and specially country. Right now, I have been looking for this 1960 Country Classics called "Last Date by Flyod Cramer. I have found the piano version but I cannot find the original organ version.......I have been looking everywhere, so please help,,,,,does anyone know where I can find a copy of this song, I need the original organ version.

    Chances are there was never any organ version published ... it could have been a "transcription" or "arrangement" of the original piano version. Many organists, myself included, will take piano pieces and adapt them to organ for our own personal use. Most anything that is played on the piano can be played [or adapted to] on the organ ... bearing in mind, of course, that the organ keyboard has only 61 keys to the piano's 88.

    I checked far and wide on the internet and could not find any published account of "Last Date" scored for the organ.

    I've never seen an organ version of that song either, but I've taught the piano version before. Very enjoyable song.
